Debbie Cohen is an experienced Chicago family law attorney with a strong background in litigation and trial advocacy. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Chicago-Kent College of Law, she earned recognition as a Best Trial Advocate while competing on the law school’s elite trial team.
Before founding her firm, Debbie spent years with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, prosecuting hundreds of cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies. She also served as an Assistant Special Prosecutor for Cook County and worked as an Investigator for the Cook County Independent Inspector General’s Office.
Drawing on her extensive courtroom experience, Debbie focuses on divorce, family law, child custody matters, and orders of protection. She is known for her thorough preparation, strategic advocacy, and commitment to helping clients navigate complex legal challenges with confidence and clarity.
