Rob is a native of Columbus, Georgia, and a graduate of Brookstone School. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from The Citadel in 1983 before completing his Juris Doctor at the University of Georgia’s Lumpkin School of Law in 1986.
He began his legal career as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the United States Army, where he served in a variety of roles including Family Law Officer and Trial Defense Services attorney, focusing on criminal defense. This early experience gave him a strong foundation in both litigation and family law, areas in which he continues to achieve significant success representing clients in divorce, child custody, and support matters.
After his military service, Rob returned to Columbus and expanded his professional background into the financial sector, working as a commercial lender handling complex transactions. He later founded and managed a commercial leasing group within a regional banking organization and served as a Senior Vice President and Risk Manager, further strengthening his expertise in business and commercial matters.
As a seasoned litigator, Rob has secured numerous notable verdicts and settlements across multiple jurisdictions in Georgia. His practice is broad and includes family law, adoption, wills, guardianships, and probate matters, where he is known for guiding clients through some of life’s most sensitive legal challenges with practical and steady counsel.
Rob also serves as a part-time public defender in the Muscogee County Juvenile Drug Court Program, where he works to support and redirect youth toward more positive life paths. In addition, he acts as general counsel for Fun Academy Media Group, LTD and Fun Academy Studios, INC., where he advises on entertainment law matters, including contract drafting and negotiation with domestic and international actors, distributors, and SAG-AFTRA agreements.
