Mike Mitchell

Michael “Mike” Mitchell was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School. In 1993, he moved to Alabama to pursue his education at Auburn University, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1997. He later received his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2000 and has proudly called the Birmingham area home ever since.

Although he grew up in South Florida, Mike has deep family ties to Alabama. His father's family roots trace back to Madison and Limestone Counties, while his mother's family is from Shelby and Talladega Counties. Many of his childhood summers were spent visiting his grandparents’ farm near Huntsville and enjoying time along the Coosa River in Talladega.

Mike is married to Laura Ramsay Mitchell, a Birmingham native and graduate of Briarwood Christian High School. Laura earned her nursing degree from Auburn University and serves as a registered nurse at UAB Hospital. Together, they are raising their three children—Will, Nola, and Savvy—and are active members of Church of the Highlands.

Mike focuses his legal practice on civil litigation throughout Alabama. He represents individuals and families in a wide range of personal injury and wrongful death matters, including automobile and trucking accidents, workplace injuries, product liability claims, nursing home negligence, premises liability cases, dog bite injuries, construction site accidents, and insurance disputes.

He is licensed to practice before all Alabama state courts, the United States District Courts of Alabama, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mike is a member of the Alabama State Bar, Birmingham Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Alabama Association for Justice.
