Maurice Davis is a dedicated Michigan criminal defense attorney and the founder of Davis Law Group PLLC. Passionate about protecting the rights of individuals facing criminal charges, he is committed to ensuring that every client has a strong advocate in their corner when confronting the power of the justice system. A Detroit native, Maurice earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Michigan State University, where he achieved Dean’s List honors and developed leadership skills through Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Inspired by influential figures such as Thurgood Marshall, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and W.E.B. Du Bois, he pursued a legal career focused on service, justice, and advocacy.

Maurice received his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law, where he strengthened his legal skills through organizations dedicated to public service and dispute resolution. Before founding Davis Law Group, he gained valuable courtroom experience as an Assistant State’s Attorney, handling criminal prosecutions, jury trials, plea negotiations, and complex motions. His background also includes work as a public defender, personal injury advocate, and legal services attorney, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the legal system from multiple perspectives.

Today, Maurice uses that diverse experience to defend clients throughout Michigan. Known for his strategic approach, courtroom confidence, and commitment to personalized representation, he works tirelessly to protect his clients' rights, freedom, and future.
