About Matt Arnold

Mr. Arnold is a Charlotte, North Carolina native and an experienced trial attorney dedicated to helping clients navigate complex legal challenges. He earned a basketball scholarship to Belmont Abbey College, graduated cum laude with honors in Psychology, and later received a full academic scholarship to the University of North Carolina School of Law.

During law school, Mr. Arnold worked as a research assistant helping update the North Carolina Courtroom Manual on Evidence and gained valuable courtroom experience through the UNC Civil Legal Assistance Clinic, where he handled his first trial before graduation.

After becoming licensed, Mr. Arnold built extensive litigation experience representing clients in insurance defense, mortgage fraud, and business disputes. He has successfully handled both jury and bench trials in North Carolina District and Superior Courts.

At Arnold & Smith, PLLC, Mr. Arnold focuses his practice on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and equitable distribution. He proudly serves families throughout the Charlotte area, providing skilled advocacy and personalized legal guidance.
