About Karla C. Miller

Karla C. Miller is a dedicated Tennessee family law attorney who has spent her entire legal career helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most challenging transitions. Since founding her practice in 1996, she has provided compassionate, client-focused representation in a wide range of family law matters, earning a reputation for professionalism, integrity, and results.

Originally from Dothan, Alabama, Karla moved to Tennessee in 1986 and later attended Nashville School of Law. During her final year of law school, she clerked for the Honorable Steve Daniel, gaining valuable legal experience before launching her own firm upon graduation.

In addition to her legal practice, Karla is a Rule 31 Listed Family Mediator, helping families resolve disputes efficiently and constructively. Her commitment to public service extends beyond the courtroom. She served as a volunteer ombudsman with the U.S. Department of Defense, advocating for military families and strengthening communication between service members and employers. Her contributions earned her National Ombudsman of the Year honors from both the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee and the Military Officers Association of America.

Karla also served on the Tennessee Human Rights Commission after being appointed by Governor Phil Bredesen, reflecting her longstanding dedication to fairness, equality, and community service.
