John A. Carlisle is a trial and appellate attorney whose practice emphasizes litigation of civil cases in both the federal and state courts of Florida. Mr. Carlisle’s experience involves representation of clients in matters relating to business and commercial litigation, professional liability, product liability, contract disputes, personal injury and wrongful death claims. Mr. Carlisle also has experience defending claims arising under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA).
Mr. Carlisle completed his undergraduate studies with honors at Florida State University in 1999, where he was a Phi Beta Kappa and completed the liberal studies honors program. Mr. Carlisle continued his education at the University of Florida College of Law, graduating with honors in 2002. During his time at the University of Florida, Mr. Carlisle served as a Teaching Assistant for Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy courses.
Mr. Carlisle is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, where he is an active participant in the association’s local community service projects and law league athletics. Mr. Carlisle also volunteers as a presiding officer in the Clay County Teen Court program for juvenile delinquency pre-trial diversion.
