Jacque Dulaine Hawk is a seasoned trial attorney whose dedication to helping injured individuals and families is deeply rooted in personal experience. Born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, Jacque learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and compassion from his parents, who worked tirelessly to support their family.
As a child, Jacque witnessed firsthand the devastating impact that serious accidents can have on a family. His father survived two life-threatening incidents that resulted in extensive injuries and lengthy recoveries, creating significant financial and emotional challenges for the family. These experiences shaped Jacque’s commitment to advocating for individuals facing difficult circumstances and continue to inspire his client-centered approach to legal representation.
A graduate of Richmond Academy, Jacque excelled academically and was recognized for his achievements in both the arts and student leadership. He attended Augusta College (now Augusta University) before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Georgia. He then obtained his law degree from Cumberland School of Law, a nationally recognized institution known for its excellence in trial advocacy.
After passing the Georgia Bar Exam in 1984, Jacque began a legal career focused on courtroom advocacy and complex litigation. Shortly after entering practice, he handled his first death penalty case, beginning a distinguished career in criminal defense and trial law. Over the years, he has remained Death Penalty Certified and has represented clients in numerous high-profile cases.
Jacque has secured multiple federal acquittals, including dismissals before trial and a directed verdict of acquittal achieved through skilled cross-examination. His courtroom abilities have earned recognition from the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, which described his trial performance as “quite stellar.”
In addition to his legal accomplishments, Jacque has been featured on nationally televised programs, including Dateline NBC and Investigation Discovery, reflecting his involvement in notable and complex legal matters. Today, he continues to provide dedicated, aggressive representation while remaining committed to protecting the rights and interests of his clients throughout Georgia.
