David Gibson

David Gibson is the Managing Partner of Gibson Herod and an experienced business litigation attorney with a background as a former Dallas County trial judge. He has tried more than 600 cases from both sides of the bench and represents individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses in business and commercial litigation, commercial and consumer fraud, contracts, and real estate disputes. In 1998, he was elected to the bench without opposition, presiding over cases involving billions of dollars in disputes before founding The Gibson Law Group in 2003 to focus on representing clients and supporting entrepreneurs.

David has secured significant judgments and favorable outcomes in complex business and fraud disputes, including a $12 million judgment in Ussery v. Armstrong & Camak and an $8.2 million judgment in Niamatali v. Irby. His other notable results include successfully setting aside a $1.184 million judgment against a client and obtaining favorable outcomes in insurance, real estate, investment fraud, and contract disputes. Recognized as a four-time Texas Super Lawyer, David emphasizes client service, practical legal guidance, and mentoring emerging entrepreneurs. Outside his legal practice, he is a certified rescue diver with a passion for shark diving and international travel.
