Melissa Braatz is a Rhode Island family law attorney with more than a decade of experience representing clients in divorce, custody, child support, visitation, and domestic relations matters. Drawing on her personal and professional experiences, she focuses on helping clients navigate family law matters with a fair, compassionate, and respectful approach. Before establishing Braatz Family Law, Melissa worked for the Rhode Island Public Defender’s Office, where she handled legal matters and developed extensive courtroom experience. She is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, serves as Communications Chairperson for the Rhode Island Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and is a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College in Macon, Georgia. She has handled thousands of legal matters throughout Rhode Island.
