David A. Finlayson

David A. Finlayson is the founder of Finlayson Law Firm, PC, in New Mexico. His practice focuses on business planning, estate planning, probate, and related tax matters. Before narrowing his focus, he maintained a broad business law practice and provided general business advice to clients. This experience helps him understand the planning and succession challenges faced by business owners and develop practical solutions.

Finlayson graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law and earned an MBA, also magna cum laude, from the University of New Mexico. He frequently lectures on estate planning and other areas of his practice. His professional memberships include the Real Property, Probate and Trust and Taxation Sections of the State Bar of New Mexico, the New Mexico Estate Planning Council, and the American Bar Association.
