Steve Clark is a Spokane native raised in the Valley, where he grew up in a family deeply rooted in the legal profession. His father, John Clark, was a respected attorney with Crary & Clark, P.S., and his mother, Ellen Kalama Clark, served as a Spokane County Superior Court Judge from 1999 to 2019.
Steve graduated from West Valley High School in 2006 as salutatorian and student body president, then earned his degree in Business Management with a minor in Political Science from Saint Joseph’s University in 2010, graduating magna cum laude from the Honors Program. He received the Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award for academic excellence.
After college, he worked as a paralegal with Counsel for Defense in Spokane before attending the University of Washington School of Law, where he served as Vice President of In-House Competitions on the Moot Court Honor Board. During law school, he gained experience through internships with both the Snohomish County Public Defender Association and Crary, Clark, Domanico & Chuang, P.S.
Following law school, Steve served with the Spokane County Public Defender’s Office, handling a wide range of criminal matters and earning a reputation as a skilled DUI trial attorney. In 2022, he founded Clark Law, P.L.L.C., building on years of courtroom experience and his family’s legacy of public service and advocacy.
Steve represents clients in criminal defense, DUI cases, traffic infractions, domestic violence defense, and licensure hearings across all levels of Washington courts. He is committed to providing strong, experienced representation while continuing his family’s tradition of dedicated advocacy for the Spokane community.
