Marla is a dedicated family law attorney with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate divorce, child custody, child support, parenting plans, and other domestic relations matters. After earning a Business Finance degree from Arizona State University, she worked in the banking industry before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University in 1997.
Since beginning her legal career, Marla has focused exclusively on family law, building a reputation for practical guidance and strong courtroom advocacy. Before founding Spokane Divorce Attorneys, she was a shareholder at Feltman Ewing, where she practiced from 2000 to 2021. She also served as a Title 11.88 Guardian Ad Litem for nearly two decades and as a Pro Tem Court Commissioner for Spokane County Superior Court from 2005 to 2018.
An active leader in the legal community, Marla is a past President of the Spokane County Bar Association and currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. Her extensive legal experience, leadership, and client-focused approach make her a trusted advocate for families throughout Spokane.
