Scott is a dedicated Augusta attorney with more than two decades of legal experience serving individuals and families throughout the region. A lifelong resident of Augusta, he graduated from Curtis Baptist High School before earning his undergraduate degree from Augusta College. He later received his Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law in 1997.
Scott began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for the Augusta Judicial Circuit, where he spent five years prosecuting criminal cases and gaining valuable courtroom experience. In 2003, he entered private practice and established the Connell Law Firm, focusing on criminal defense and domestic relations matters.
Over the course of his career, Scott has handled a wide range of complex legal cases, with an emphasis on criminal defense and family law. He has litigated significant felony cases for more than 25 years and regularly represents clients in both state and federal courts throughout the Augusta and Columbia Judicial Circuits.
A respected member of both the Augusta Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia, Scott is known for his commitment to providing effective legal representation and personalized client service.
Outside the practice of law, Scott is actively involved in his community and is passionate about youth athletics. A devoted football enthusiast, he is a Heads-Up Certified Football Coach and has served in coaching and leadership roles with local football programs for many years. He and his wife, Kristi, have been married for over twenty years and are proud parents of three sons.
