More than a career, it’s a calling: My commitment to law is a legacy passed down through a family devoted to public service, especially in New Mexico. My father, who worked tirelessly as Dean of the University of New Mexico School of Law and now serves as an emeritus law professor, also traveled extensively to advance the rule of law globally. His profound dedication to helping others inspired my path in law, motivating me to champion the rights and welfare of my community.
Due to his far-reaching career, I experienced an upbringing like no other. From Ethiopia to Egypt and Tunisia, these journeys instilled a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and justice for all. This rich tapestry of experiences, from studying at La Sorbonne in Paris to exploring Laos, broadened my horizons and solidified my resolve to pursue a career that makes a tangible difference in people’s lives.
