Heidi Whitaker

Heidi Whitaker is a partner at Johnson Law Group with extensive experience in family law, business litigation, estate planning, and civil litigation. She earned her Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, now Texas A&M University School of Law, where she ranked in the top 12% of her class and consistently earned Dean’s List recognition. She also holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona. Admitted to practice in Colorado, Texas, Wyoming, and before the U.S. Supreme Court, Heidi is a certified mediator and has received an AVVO Excellent Rated Attorney distinction.

Heidi’s family law practice includes divorce, high-net-worth divorce, child custody, child support, custody modifications, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, property division, spousal maintenance, guardianship, conservatorship, orders of protection, and mediation. She also handles estate planning and business and consumer litigation. With more than 21 first-chair cases tried to bench and jury verdicts, Heidi brings substantial courtroom experience and strategic insight to complex legal disputes, including interstate custody matters under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA). She has held leadership roles with several bar associations, including serving as president of the Larimer County Bar Association, the Larimer County Women’s Bar Association, and the Flower Mound Bar Association.
