Paul Jarvis has practiced law in Vermont since 1972. He began his career as a prosecutor with the Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office from 1972 to 1975 before entering private practice. His practice focuses on criminal defense, DUI cases, and family law. In 2023, Attorney Jarvis established Paul Jarvis Law after decades of private practice and partnership in several Vermont firms.
Attorney Jarvis has extensive courtroom and trial experience and has argued numerous cases before the Vermont Supreme Court. He has also served as an acting judge in the Vermont Superior Court’s Chittenden Criminal and Family Divisions. He represents clients facing serious felony, misdemeanor, and DUI charges and handles family law matters including divorce, parental rights and responsibilities, parentage, CHINS proceedings, and juvenile cases. He graduated cum laude from the University of Vermont in 1969 and Boston College Law School in 1972.
