Tony Vitz is an experienced criminal defense attorney with more than 35 years of courtroom experience. A McKinney native, he focuses his practice on defending individuals accused of crimes in Collin County and surrounding counties in Texas. Tony earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston in 1988 after completing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance at Texas Tech University in 1984. His practice includes criminal defense, grand jury representation, and assisting other attorneys with trial preparation and litigation strategy.
Tony attended the Trial Lawyers College in Wyoming in 1999, where he was introduced to psychodrama techniques that help lawyers understand and communicate their clients’ stories effectively to judges and juries. He has continued developing his trial skills as a faculty member of the Trial Lawyers College and as a director of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association’s Advanced Trial Skills Workshop. Tony is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Trial Lawyers College. His practice is dedicated to representing individuals rather than corporations or government entities.
