Karen Chesley is a criminal defense attorney with extensive experience in prosecution and trial litigation. She earned her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law in 2002 and began her legal career with the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office, where she handled criminal cases ranging from Class B misdemeanors to first-degree felonies, including juvenile matters.
In 2005, Karen joined the Collin County District Attorney’s Office, serving as a chief misdemeanor prosecutor and felony domestic violence prosecutor. Her responsibilities included handling protective orders, reviewing family violence case intake, and delivering presentations on protective orders and family violence crimes to law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and judges.
