Kevin Harris is a criminal defense attorney with more than two decades of legal experience in Dallas and Tarrant counties, Texas. He earned his undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University and his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law. He began his legal career at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, prosecuting misdemeanor cases before advancing to the Felony Division, where he handled serious criminal matters, including capital murder, murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, felony drug offenses, and sexual assault.
Kevin also served in the Felony Family Violence Unit for two years, prosecuting family violence cases and working with police officers on investigative methods. He later served as Deputy Chief, supervising and training prosecutors assigned to Dallas County’s misdemeanor family violence courts. After moving to the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, he continued handling serious criminal cases and gained experience preparing and presenting cases to grand juries. With more than 150 jury trials, Kevin brings extensive prosecutorial and courtroom experience to criminal case investigation, preparation, negotiation, and trial representation.
