John Gilroy is a founding partner of Gilroy Napoli Short, LLC and a criminal defense attorney with prior experience as a Deputy District Attorney at the Washington County District Attorney’s Office. He prosecuted cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies, gaining insight into the criminal justice system that he now applies to criminal defense, DUI, and personal injury matters.
John earned his political science degree from Santa Clara University in 1993 and his law degree from the University of Oregon in 1998. Before law school, he worked as a legislative aide for Senator Robert Packwood in Washington, D.C. He has been nominated as an Oregon Super Lawyer for five consecutive years and was selected in 2014 as a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers.
