Jacqueline “Jackie” Swanson is a partner at Graves & Swanson LLC whose practice includes personal injury, family law, and victims’ rights law. She has extensive experience representing survivors of rape, sexual assault, domestic violence, childhood sexual abuse, and other victims of crime. Before attending law school, Jackie worked as a sexual assault victim advocate with nonprofit community organizations, an experience that influenced her decision to pursue a legal career focused on supporting survivors.
Jackie has also dedicated hundreds of pro bono hours to public policy work for survivors of sexual violence and victims of crime. Her advocacy includes helping extend Oregon’s criminal statute of limitations for first-degree sex crimes, drafting the initial version of Melissa’s Law, supporting the federal sexual assault survivors’ bill of rights, and advocating for Oregon rape shield legislation and expanded civil filing deadlines for adult survivors of sexual assault.
