Richard has practiced law since 1968 and has tried numerous civil and criminal cases throughout his career. He now exclusively represents injured individuals and has never represented insurance companies or corporations. Early in his career, he successfully defended two capital murder clients in back-to-back trials within his first year after passing the bar. His practice is devoted entirely to litigation, and he has obtained verdicts and settlements ranging from millions of dollars to smaller amounts.
Richard earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law and a B.S. in Engineering, cum laude, from Ohio State University. He is admitted to practice in Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. His professional memberships include the Columbus Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, American Association for Justice, and Franklin County Trial Lawyers Association.
