Veronica Dorato is a dedicated attorney with extensive experience representing individuals in workers’ compensation and personal injury matters. A graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law, she earned her law degree cum laude and received several honors, including Clinical Honors, the Dean’s Award for Contributing to the Law School, and the Judge Seth Oliver Ethics Award.
Before becoming an attorney, Veronica built a successful career as a registered nurse after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of New Mexico. Her background in maternal and child health provides her with a unique understanding of the medical issues often involved in injury-related cases.
Following law school, Veronica served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Michael Bustamante of the New Mexico Court of Appeals and gained valuable litigation experience at a prominent insurance defense firm. Today, she focuses on helping injured individuals pursue workers’ compensation and personal injury claims against insurance companies. She also serves as a guardian ad litem for incapacitated adults in guardianship proceedings.
Recognized as one of “The Nation’s Top Injured Workers’ Attorneys” by the Workers’ Injury Law Group, Veronica is a respected advocate, educator, and speaker on workers’ compensation law and advocacy. She also serves as Board President of the Senior Citizens’ Law Office and has taught as a visiting professor of Clinical Law at the University of New Mexico School of Law. Her diverse professional background and commitment to client advocacy make her a trusted resource for individuals navigating complex legal challenges.
