Ron Holmes

Ron Holmes is a New Mexico attorney who focuses on consumer bankruptcy and small business bankruptcy cases, serving clients throughout the state. A native of New Mexico, he grew up in Alamogordo and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1996, following a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from the same university in 1991.

Holmes has served on the Bankruptcy Section Board of Directors for multiple terms, including as its chairman, and is a former bankruptcy trustee. His honors include the New Mexico State Bar’s Outstanding Contribution Award in 2003 and the Robert H. LaFollette Pro Bono Award in 2010. In addition to his legal practice, he is a licensed real estate broker and Realtor® and serves as the qualifying broker for Stetson Realty. He is also the treasurer of the Federal Bar Association’s New Mexico Chapter and has been involved with several legal and real estate professional organizations.
