Michael Armstrong

Michael Armstrong is the founder of Michael Armstrong Law in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Since 1985, he has represented more than 7,500 clients and developed extensive experience in Social Security Disability and employment law. After opening his firm in 1996, he eventually focused exclusively on Social Security Disability law because of the field’s complexity. His approach emphasizes evaluating each claim individually and understanding how a disability affects a client’s ability to work and perform daily job responsibilities.

Before becoming an attorney, Armstrong spent 10 years working in the mental health field with children, adolescents, adults, and families. His early legal practice included landlord-tenant disputes, divorce, child custody, employment matters, and criminal cases. He emphasizes careful case preparation, compassion, honesty, and individualized representation. Following his retirement, he passed his experience and approach to his successor, Laura Johnson.
