Joseph M. Romero

Joseph Romero is a New Mexico attorney who represents individuals in personal injury, wrongful death, workers’ compensation, and Social Security Disability cases. Born in Las Vegas, New Mexico, he served in the New Mexico Air National Guard before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and a Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico.

During law school, Romero worked as a law clerk at an Albuquerque insurance defense firm and later practiced as an associate attorney at two insurance defense firms. This experience provided insight into how insurance companies defend claims involving injured individuals, leading him to represent injured people instead. He has represented clients in federal and state courts, before the New Mexico Workers’ Compensation Administration, and through the Social Security Administration’s disability appeals process. He is licensed in New Mexico state courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the State Bar of New Mexico, the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association, and the New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association.
