Matthew (Matt) Ludt is the founder of Atticus Family Law, established in 2012. Guided by empathy, strategic advocacy, and meaningful client support, he focuses on helping families navigate significant life transitions while building a foundation for the future. Inspired by Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird, Matt emphasizes understanding each client’s perspective and maintaining a calm, long-term approach to family law matters.
Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Matt studied economics, political science, and public communication at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. He later attended Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law, where he benefited from its Trial Advocacy program. After founding M.E. Ludt, LLC, he refined his focus on family law and established Atticus Family Law to combine strategic legal representation with practical, empathetic guidance. The firm also offers client mindset coaching and long-term planning, particularly for high-net-worth individuals navigating complex family transitions.
