About J. Corey Sucher

Corey is a personal injury lawyer who has practiced law since 2003 and is board-certified in Civil Practice Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has tried more than 40 jury trials, along with numerous non-jury trials, and has secured more than $30 million in total settlements and verdicts for personal injury clients since 2018, including a verdict exceeding $8 million. After graduating from Heidelberg University in Ohio, where he was a four-year member of the wrestling team, Corey earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law. He began his legal career as a Florida prosecutor, where trying cases before juries developed his courtroom skills and passion for litigation. From 2007 to 2012, he also practiced civil litigation, criminal defense, and family law at John Madden, P.A., in Stuart, Florida.

Corey joined the United States Army Reserve’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps in 2004 and completed 20 years of military service, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. His military legal career included nearly eight years of active-duty practice and a 2010 deployment to Iraq, where he worked with Iraqi military lawyers to support the development of the judicial system and handled claims by Iraqi nationals for alleged damages caused by coalition troops. During a consecutive active-duty period from 2012 to 2018, he served at Fort Knox, Kentucky; Charlottesville, Virginia, where he earned a Master of Laws degree in military law; and the 451st Expeditionary Sustainment Command in Wichita, Kansas. Since leaving active duty in 2018, he has remained in Wichita with his family and is dedicated to helping seriously injured individuals obtain compensation. Corey is licensed to practice in Kansas state and federal courts and in Florida. He is a member of the Wichita Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, and Kansas Trial Lawyers Association.
