Charlie is an attorney born and raised in Hawaii and a graduate of St. Louis High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1978. After graduation, he worked in the airline industry for several years, traveling extensively throughout the United States, Europe, and the Far East. He later earned his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1985.
In addition to his legal practice, Charlie became a Honolulu police officer in 1987 and continues to volunteer as a reserve police officer once a week. His commitment to public service complements his professional background. Outside of work, Charlie enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and participating in outdoor activities, including cycling, fishing, and backpacking.
