Akram Abusharar, Esq. is the founding attorney of Abusharar & Associates and an Immigration Law Specialist with more than 18 years of experience. Since founding his practice in 2007, he has represented thousands of clients in immigration courts, before USCIS, and at U.S. consulates worldwide. His practice focuses on asylum, deportation defense, naturalization, family-based immigration, and other complex U.S. immigration matters.
Mr. Abusharar is licensed to practice law in Michigan and is a member of the Michigan State Bar and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. His legal education includes an LL.B. from Alexandria University in Egypt, an LL.M. from Wayne State University, and a Master of Criminal Justice from the University of Detroit Mercy.
He has handled complex immigration and asylum cases nationwide and has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. His approach emphasizes knowledgeable legal guidance, clear communication, and personalized representation for individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system.
