Steven M. Wells is an experienced criminal defense attorney dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals facing serious criminal charges in both state and federal courts. After earning his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law, he began his legal career in Nashville, Tennessee, before relocating to Alaska to pursue his passion for criminal defense.
Prior to founding Steven M. Wells, P.C., Attorney Wells served with Alaska’s Office of Public Advocacy, representing clients charged with a wide range of felony offenses, including homicide, robbery, kidnapping, sex crimes, and assault. His extensive courtroom experience and unwavering commitment to justice have earned him a reputation as a skilled and effective advocate.
Attorney Wells is the founding President of the Alaska Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (AACDL) and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL). He is also a frequent Continuing Legal Education (CLE) presenter, sharing his knowledge and experience with legal professionals nationwide.
