Dothan, AL Attorney Chris Capps was born in 1967 in Dothan, Alabama. He attended Troy State University, graduating cum laude with a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration, then earned his Juris Doctor in December 1993 from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. He was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in April 1994. While in law school, Chris served as Chief Juvenile Court Officer for Henry County, Alabama, where he was recognized for his work with juvenile offenders.
He began practicing in downtown Dothan in May 1994 and opened Capps & Associates, P.C. on South Oates Street in 2003. He has especially enjoyed mentoring young attorneys. Since 2006, Chris has served as Municipal Court Judge for the City of Headland, Alabama.
